On
both a state and national level, UW-CTRI has conducted research
on — and made recommendations about — polices that
would reduce tobacco use. These recommendations have focused primarily
on tobacco treatment — how to make medications and coaching
more accessible to more smokers, and what policies enhance the likelihood
smokers will try to quit and succeed. |
Such policies would result
in less disease from tobacco use and less money spent on healthcare.
