Douglas
E. Jorenby, PhD, Director of Clinical Services
Director of Clinical
Services for UW-CTRI since 1992, Doug Jorenby is responsible for clinical
activities at the Center. He is a clinical psychologist and professor of medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Medical
School, where he conducts a variety of research, clinical, and professional
education activities.
Jorenby has served
as Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investigator on a number of
studies involving the efficacy of various behavioral and pharmacologic
treatments for tobacco dependence. His current research involves optimization
of new and existing treatments for individuals through predictive modeling.
He has also published research on treatment for women.
Jorenby received
his Ph.D. and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Preventive Oncology
at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
