Jennifer Youngblood, RN, BS, MEd
Regional Outreach Specialist for Southeast Wisconsin

Jennifer Youngblood is the UW-CTRI outreach specialist serving the counties surrounding Milwaukee County in the Southeast Region.  She is a registered nurse who also holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and a master’s in education from Carroll College. 

Jennifer provides the latest evidence-based tobacco cessation information to medical facilities, health departments, coalitions and others throughout southeast Wisconsin.  She offers training and technical assistance to healthcare systems and clinics on how to best treat tobacco dependence.  She assists with implementing the recommendations of the U.S. Public Health Service Clinical Practice Guideline: Treating Tobacco Use and Dependence.  She also continues to promote the Wisconsin Tobacco Quit Line and sets up Fax to Quit sites at clinics throughout the region.  Her work often focuses on helping individuals who are especially impacted by the burden of tobacco use.

Before joining UW-CTRI, Jennifer worked for the EPA assisting American Indian tribes with air quality and health issues.  She was an air quality specialist and has worked as a nurse in various care settings.  She also served as a Wisconsin police officer in Pewaukee, Oconomowoc and Lac La Belle.  She was a deputy medical examiner for Waukesha County for four years.
