Mary Balistreri, MS
Regional Outreach Specialist for Milwaukee County

Mary Balistreri is working to develop a community-wide support system for tobacco users in Milwaukee County. Promoting evidence-based treatment, Balistreri provides training, up-to-date information, and resources to health care providers and all others interested in eliminating the harm caused by tobacco use.

Balistreri’s work has resulted in positive changes in southeastern Wisconsin. With her assistance and support, clinicians from several large health care systems and numerous individual clinics are now able to provide the best available tobacco dependence treatment for their patients.

Balistreri prioritizes her outreach efforts to address the disproportionate effects of tobacco within low income and minority populations.

Balistreri received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and her master’s degree in administration of adult education and organizational development from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
