Paula
Keller, MPH, Senior Policy Advisor
Paula Keller is the
senior policy advisor at UW-CTRI. She oversees the national office of
the Addressing Tobacco in Healthcare (ATHC) Research Network, supported
by The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. This network connects researchers,
health care providers and other partners interested in creating changes
to healthcare systems to improve tobacco dependence treatment. ATHC’s
goals include:
- Facilitating
information-sharing and networking.
- Providing
technical assistance for researchers on grant preparation and
dissemination of research findings.
- Disseminating
cutting-edge resources and tools to foster systems-change research.
This new network
builds on the experience, lessons and results of the Addressing
Tobacco in Managed Care (ATMC) research grants program, which
began in 1997. More information about ATHC can be found at www.athc.wisc.edu.
Paula
joined the UW-CTRI’s ATMC national program office in 2001.

Paula’s research
interests include evaluation of health care delivery system strategies
to provide smoking cessation services to all patients, as well as the
evaluation of national tobacco policy initiatives. She is an advisor
to the Minnesota Partnership for Action Against Tobacco (MPAAT) and
co-principal investigator of a project evaluating the National Network
of Tobacco Cessation Quitlines.
Paula received her
bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and
her masters in public health from the University of Michigan.
