Susanne Morris is the UW-CTRI Northern Region Outreach Specialist. Susanne received her bachelor's degree from UW-Stevens Point in natural resource management/environmental education and a teaching certificate in secondary education-science from UW-Madison.
Susanne provides the latest evidence-based tobacco cessation information to medical facilities, health departments, coalitions and others throughout northern Wisconsin. She offers training and technical assistance to healthcare systems and clinics on how to best treat tobacco dependence. She assists with implementing the recommendations of the U.S. Public Health Service Clinical Practice Guideline: Treating Tobacco Use and Dependence. She also continues to promote the Wisconsin Tobacco Quit Line and sets up Fax to Quit sites at clinics throughout the region.
Her work often focuses on helping individuals who are especially impacted by the burden of tobacco use. |

Susanne has worked with health care providers and professionals for over 20 years. Early in her career, she worked for Wisconsin Physicians Service-Medicare Division in various capacities, including Supervisor of Provider Education and Supervisor of Program Compliance. Susanne also managed the staff Education Development Department for Sacred Heart-St. Mary's Hospitals for six years. There she developed and facilitated staff educational programming and provided oversight for the provider continuing medical education program. She most recently worked for Northcentral Technical College, where she was the Director of Professional Health Education.
