Tricia
Tricia provides
the latest evidence-based tobacco cessation information to medical
facilities, health departments, coalitions, and others in a thirteen-county
area of southern Wisconsin. She is currently working with the
University of Wisconsin Hospital to implement the recommendations
of the U. S. Public Health Service Clinical Practice Guideline:
Treating Tobacco Use and Dependence system wide. She
also continues to promote the Wisconsin Tobacco Quit Line and
set up Fax to Quit sites within the University of Wisconsin and
Dean Health systems, in addition to providing support to First
Breath, a program that helps pregnant women in Wisconsin
quit smoking.

Tricia, a Minnesota
native, has an undergraduate degree in Health and a Master of Public
Health degree in Community Health Education. Before coming to UW-CTRI,
Tricia worked as a cancer information specialist for the National Cancer
Institute, providing information on cancer treatment and prevention,
including tobacco cessation counseling.
