TTURC 2: Tobacco Dependence, Treatment and Outcomes
(2005-2009)

Career Development Opportunities Program

The Career Development Opportunities (CDO) Program focuses on training clinicians to be clinician-scientists, able to conduct important tobacco control research. Clinicians in multiple disciplines and at different phases in their careers (e.g., college students of diverse majors, pre-doctoral clinical psychology students, medical students, established clinicians) will be recruited for specialized tobacco-research training.

Utilizing the expertise of a diverse leadership team, the CDO Program will work with historically black institutions and Hispanic institutions to increase their students’ exposure to tobacco science and to facilitate collaborations with the UW-TTURC.
