Allison Gorrilla offers training and technical assistance on implementing the Clinical Practice Guideline: Treating Tobacco Use and Dependence with health care systems, clinics, and hospitals in Milwaukee and surrounding counties. Allie holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical science from Marquette and a master’s of public health from the University of Minnesota, and worked for United Way in Los Angeles as a research interviewer, talking to homeless young moms to ensure success of programs to help them find housing and jobs. She previously worked for the UW Madison School of Medicine and Public Health, where she was an Assistant Researcher with the Survey of the Health of Wisconsin (SHOW), and coordinated an ancillary study in an inner-city Milwaukee neighborhood.
